CALOOCAN City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan led the inauguration of city health centers located at Phase 9 and Phase 10, Barangay 176, Caloocan, on Thursday afternoon, September 29, 2022.

The said barangay is the largest in the country in terms of population and is home to over 260,000 residents.

According to the mayor, this is part of the city government’s mission to bring healthcare services closer to communities as the said health centers provide essential services such as medical check-ups and even minor surgeries.

City Health Department (CHD) Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Dra. Evelyn O. Cuevas highlighted the government’s effort to provide quality healthcare for all and assured everyone that they will continue boosting these services to more barangays in the future.

The health centers have a minor surgery area, recovery room, examination and consultation room, and a breastfeeding area/playpen for mothers and their children. It shall be open to a range of services, including overall health evaluation, immunization, pre-natal check-up, dental check-up, and free vitamins.
