THE Diocese of Kalookan has declared the home of the canonically crowned image of Immaculate Conception as the first diocesan shrine in Malabon City.

The announcement was made by appointed parish priest and rector, Fr. Joey Enriquez during the Sunday morning Mass at the Immaculate Conception Parish.

Enriquez said the elevation of the church is a “grace” for the parish and the community.

During the mass, Fr. Enriquez also revealed the new coat-of-arms of the shrine. The logo was designed by Doel Peter Paul Alvarez featuring elements related to the Virgin Mary and Malabon City.

The rite of elevation will take place on December 8, Feast of Immaculate Conception, to be led by CBCP president and Kalookan Bishop Pablo Virgilio David. By AMADEUS ALBERT QUITCO
