Lawmaker extends best wishes to Davao City’s newly weds
A LAWMAKER has conveyed his congratulations and best wishes for eternal happiness to the city’s 50 newlywed couples who said their ‘I dos’ in a mass wedding held here this week.
The mass wedding, dubbed the “Kasalan ng Barangay 2023,” was administered by Mayor Sebastian Duterte, the younger brother of Davao City 1st District Rep. Paolo Duterte.

“Wishing the newly wedded couples a joyful celebration and an unending love and happiness as husband and wife,” Rigo said on behalf of his father, who at that time was attending to other official matters.
“Congressman Pulong deeply regrets that he could not attend and celebrate with you today. So, I am making an effort to attend this significant event,” Rigo told the couples.
On behalf of his father, Rigo thanked Barangay Bago Gallera chief Chelo Cañares for inviting them to take part in this special occasion.
“Of course, we should also thank our City Mayor, who is the most important figure today, because, without him, the wedding preparations will not proceed as it is,” Rigo said.
Mayor Duterte, for his part, expressed his appreciation for the collective efforts of everyone involved in making the mass wedding a success.
Rep. Duterte’s Office and the City Government of Davao congratulated the newlyweds and expressed their wishes for their promising future together as lifelong partners.
