JGFP welcomes Vanguardia
THE Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines (JGFP) board of directors, headed by president Oliver Gan, formally welcomed Ariel Vanguardia as its new secretary-general during its first board meeting at the JGFP office last Tuesday.
Also present during the board meeting were vice president Rel Gomez, Vanguardia, Mariel Macasaet, Lue de Guzman, Jun Cedo, and Eli Saludar.
A graduate of De La Salle University in 1993, Vanguardia was also a multi-titled basketball coach.
The 51-year-old Vanguardia also served as coach of Blackwater Bossing in the PBA and IECO Green Warrors.
He was also the head coach of the Phoenix Fuel Masters from 2016-2017.
He also previously worked as coach of the the Westports Malaysia Dragons in the Asean Basketball League, where he won the team’s first championship in 2016.
Vanguardia is also now the Managing Partner of HOOP Coaches International.
