A 25-YEAR-OLD helper was stabbed dead while reportedly pacifying a bickering couple Tuesday evening in Quezon City.

The victim identified as Jason Gapang, of Sto. Cristo, Barangay Balingasa Quezon City was declared dead upon arrival at the Quezon City General Hospital due to multiple stab wounds in the body.

His alleged attackers identified as Joel Balasabas and a certain Nilo remain at large.

Balasabas’ live in partner identified as Jenny Moñez was also wounded during the incident.

A report from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit of the Quezon City Police District showed that the incident happened at around 9 p.m., September 7, 2021 at the Villanueva Compound, located on A Bonifacio Avenue Sto. Cristo, Barangay Balingasa Quezon City.

Investigation showed that prior to the incident, Balasabas got irked after seeing that his live-in partner was having a drinking spree with Jason and two other men prompting him to fetch Jenny.

A witness told the police that Jenny along with Jason were already walking on their way home when Balasabas and his alleged cohort suddenly appeared. The suspects were armed with a bladed weapon and wooden baton.

Balasabas immediately confronted his live-in partner causing a commotion.

Jason reportedly tried to pacify Balasabas but the latter turned his ire on the victim.

Balasabas allegedly pulled out his bladed weapon and repeatedly stabbed the victim in different parts of the body.

The other suspect reportedly hit Jenny in the head with a wooden baton.

The suspects casually fled on foot after the incident.

Police are hunting the suspects.
