Girl, 15, rescued from ‘sex work’ in Ecija
CARRANGLAN, Nueva Ecija – A 15-year-old girl recruited here as a “sex worker” was rescued by a joint team of police and Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSDWO) personnel during an entrapment operation on Wednesday here.
Police head Captain Darwin B. Mislang said the victim, a resident of Little Baguio, Baliwag, Bulacan, was rescued from her two recruiters after MSDWO Chief Michelle Julian sought help from his office to launch the operation here at 3:20 p.m.
Mislang said the suspects, a 38-year-old woman, of Poblacion, Bustos, Bulacan, and another 56-year-old female, of Sitio Loyloy, Bgy. Piut, were slapped with violations of Republic Act 9208 for qualified human trafficking before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office.
The rescued minor has been turned over to the custody of the MSWDO for proper disposition.
