Gas tank explodes in Cavite, 1 dead
TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite — A construction worker died on the spot when a gas tank exploded at their construction site in Barangay Gregorio here, on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.
Police colonel Jonathan Asnan identified the fatality as Eddie Boy Villar, resident of Silang St., Brgy Osorio.
Three other laborers sustained minor injuries.
The explosion occurred at 11:45 a.m. while the victim and his co workers were doing excavation work at the Command Center Compound. They were using acetylene to cut steel when suddenly the gas tank exploded.
The injured victims were rushed to the General Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital (GEAMH) in Trece Martires, according to Investigator-on-case Police Staff Sergeant Bryan Jay Comia.
