CHOCO Mucho puts its unbeaten streak on the line against a well-rested PLDT side, while Cignal tries to rediscover its winning ways versus Strong Group Athletics in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference preliminaries at the Filoil EcoOil Centre.

Sitting alone at the top with a 4-0 record, the Flying Titans are bracing for a tough duel with the High Speed Hitters in the 6 p.m. mainer.

The HD Spikers, meanwhile, are tipped to prevail in the 4 p.m. duel with SGA.

Choco Mucho became the solo leaders after sister team Creamline took a shock 18-25, 24-26, 23-25 loss to Chery Tiggo in Santa Rosa, Laguna last weekend. It was the Cool Smashers’ first defeat since the Invitational Conference Final.

Sporting similar 3-1 slates, PLDT and Cignal are eyeing to join PetroGazz and Creamline at 4-1.

Sisi Rondina and Kat Tolentino have been dishing out stellar games for the Flying Titans, with the reigning MVP scoring 23 points and the veteran opposite spiker adding 14 in last Thursday’s 18-25, 20-25, 21-25 demolition of the HD Spikers.

The High Speed Hitters, on the other hand, enters the match after a period of rest, providing coach Rald Ricafort an opportunity to strategize and analyze their opponents’ strengths and weaknesses.

PLDT last played on March 9, scoring a 25-13, 25-15, 25-16 victory over debutants Capital1.

Cignal expects to redeem itself from a lackluster showing against Choco Mucho against a Strong Group side still searching for a breakthrough.
