RETURNING after skipping the previous tournament, F2 Logistics is confident that the team’s familiarity with each other, especially with American reinforcement Lindsay Stalzer and the returning Kalei Mau, can help the squad move forward in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference which begins on Saturday at the Santa Rosa Multipurpose Sports Complex.

“Our first training (was) last week lang so medyo rushed pero the local players are prepared naman and then we’re just waiting kung paano sila magje-jell back, si Lindsay at Kalei but so far they’re showing good cohesiveness inside the court pero more pa of course,” said Benson Bocboc, who will call the shots again for the Cargo Movers in lieu of head coach Ramil de Jesus.

Aside from Stalzer and Mau, Bocboc is also looking at new recruit Ivy Lacsina from NCAA champion National University to provide immediate impact for F2 Logistics.

“Maganda, maganda yung pinapakita ni Ivy. Malakas, kung tutuusin kumpleto siya as an offense and defensive player which is good. Marami tayong middles sa ngayon, we have five but she’s so far number one ngayon sa team in terms of function,” said Bocboc.

F2 Logistics will finally get their first taste of action when it takes on a revamped Chery Tiggo side on Tuesday at the Philsports Arena.

The Crossovers are bannered by skipper Mylene Paat and Jelena Cvijović, a 6-foot-1 outside spiker from Montenegro, who also played in Serbia, Romania, Greece, and Turkey.

“Of course, sa pagkakaalam ko maraming changes sa Chery specially sa middle pero the key players are still there and of course we have to look into the import kung papaano pero we have to do that real time, on the spot kasi wala silang prior match so doon natin makikita yung adjustments na gagawin natin,” said Bocboc.

Action begins on Saturday in Laguna with the 2:30 p.m. clash between PLDT Home Fibr and United Auctioneers-Army, followed by the 5:30 p.m. duel between debuting Akari and Cignal.

Creamline opens its quest for a Grand Slam against PLDT on October 13 at the Philsports Arena.

Owing by their impressive showing in international competitions, the Cool Smashers are tipped to follow up their Open and Invitational Conference.
