BASKETBAll never stops for player-turned-coach Noel Estrella.

Estrella, who is best remembered as a mainstay of the Far Eastern University team in the UAAP in the early 90s, is now paying it forward by doing basketball clinics for outstanding players in Guiguinto, Bulacan.

A teammate of PBA legends Johnny Abarrientos and Vic Pablo in the star-studded FEU Tamaraws team from 1991-95, Estrella now gives free lessons to young basketball players at the Barangay Tiaong covered court and help them get a chance to play competitively in the future.

“I would like to share my basketball knowledge to young players, especially here in Guiguinto,” said the 6-1 Estrella, who also played for Ramcar Oriental Battery and Carol Anne in the PBL in the early 90s.

“It’s like paying it forward,” added Estrella, who also played alongside Nestor Echano, Michael Oliver, Bryan Punzalan, Anthony Pabillore, Renato Gamboa, Joel Chaneco, Alejandro Paguinto’ Rhoel Josol, Ivan Monarte and Jaime Castelvi for the Tamaraws of coach Alfredo Amador.

“Ako po ay nagpapasalamat sa mga taong tumulong para mabuo ko po ang basketball training camp, lalo na kina Kap Dante Sillano, Kon Albert Estrella, Angelica Pabaya Bernardo, SK chaiman Landrei Cerdon, Eliseo Santos, Marie Narciso, at Boy dela Cruz. Pati na sa aking wife na si Glenda Mercado Estrella,” added Estrella, who is being assisted by fellow coaches CJ Emelo, Rex Cubes and Emmanuel Kim Matias.
