REAFFIRMING its “relentless” commitment towards a safer, more inclusive, and sustainable public transport system in the country, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) joined in the celebration of the 3rd anniversary of the “Move as One Coalition” (MAOC) on Saturday, June 3, 2023.

Transportation Secretary Jaime J. Bautista expressed his gratitude to the coalition for its continued support of the realization of active-transport projects, programs, and initiatives of the DOTr, as well as for its contributions to “championing road safety and eco-friendly mobility in the country.”

“We are grateful, especially to the Move as One Coalition, for staying close beside and behind us at such efforts as the public utility vehicle modernization program (PUVMP), the alternative transport program or bike lanes program, road safety and many other transport projects,” Bautista said.

He added, “We achieved significant strides towards a safe and inclusive public transport because of the support of partners like those with us today, both from the government and the private sector.”

During the gathering, Bautista also enjoined all public and private sectors to move together in pushing for more comfortable, accessible, safe, sustainable, and affordable transportation in the country.
