Chua leads distribution of grants for Noveleta scholars
NOVELETA, Cavite – Thousands of Noveleta students from elementary and high school to senior high received cash grants from the “Iskolar ng Bayan” scholarship of the office of Congressman Ramon “Jolo” Revilla III during the payout on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at San Antonio Elementary School (ES) here.
Mayor Dino Chua, representing Revilla, led the distribution at San Antonio ES for a total of 4,996 beneficiaries from Grades 1 to 8 and 1,473 from Grades 9 to 12.
Revilla spearheaded the program in his district last month for 41,084 Grades 1 to 8 beneficiaries and 15,984 Grades 9 to 12 beneficiaries.
Parents of the Caviteño scholars received P2,000 each for Grades 1-8 and P3,000 each for Grades 9-12.
According to Mayor Chua, the program was also boosted by Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Jr. and Agimat Party-list Rep. Bryan Revilla.
“I was happy to see the happy parents and also instructed them to use the help received from the government for the needs of their children,” Chua said in his speech before the beneficiaries.
The “Iskolar ng Bayan” program also covered the towns of Rosario and Kawit, including Cavite City.
