Chess, judo, basketball at SOA
THE Mindoro Tamaraws, one of the teams seeing action in the PCAP Season 3 chess championships starting Saturday, will be the special guests in the 56th “Sports on Air” via Zoom.
PCAP Season 3 No. 1 overall draft pick Denise Sy and AGM Emmanuel Asi will talk about the Tamaraws’ chances in PCAP, the country’s first play-for-pay league.
Sy, a 30-year-old chess champion from Barangay Sto. Niño, Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro, and Asi will spearhead the Tamaraws’ bid in the season-opening All-Filipino Conference.
A Palarong Pambansa campaigner, Sy saw action in the OMCA vs SSS Challenge Match held last Jan. 28.
The second part of the program will feature the organizers of the first Batang Maynila invitational judo tournament scheduled Feb. 18-19 at the Dapitan Sports Complex.

These will be the 56th and 57th episodes of Sports on Air, which is being livestreamed on Facebook and YouTube.
