AUTHORITIES arrested a call center agent who reportedly threatened a woman he would expose her sensitive photos and videos from their previous photoshoot if she refused to meet him.

QCPD Director PBGen. Redrico Maranan identified the suspect as Eric Maño, 55, of Sampaloc, Manila.

Reports said in 2019 the suspect lured the victim, through a Facebook account, to have a photoshoot promising a substantial income from it.

Subsequently, the suspect took the victim to a hotel, fulfilling the agreed-upon arrangement. However, the suspect failed to pay the victim.

It was further revealed that on September 20, 2023, the victim received messages from an unknown sender encouraging her to become a model for underwear and swimwear, yet she disregarded them.

On December 15, 2023, the suspect reportedly used a Viber account named Skyline (09159732511 and 09230831270) to coerce the victim to meet up with him in exchange of deleting the sensitive photos and videos he took from their photoshoot on 2019.

The suspect also warned the victim of exposing the content to her family and co-workers if she refused to meet up with him.

This prompted the victim to report the incident to the Quezon City police office last December 23, 2023.

Acting promptly, the policemen conducted an entrapment at 2:04 p.m. in front of the SOGO Hotel in 1050 D&E Building, Quezon Avenue cor Don A. Roces Ave., Quezon City, resulting in the apprehension of the suspect.

The suspect was charged with violation of Article 286 of the Revised Penal Code (RPC) otherwise known as grave coercion, R.A. 9995, or Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism and R.A. 11313 or Safe Spaces Act, all in relation to Section 6 of the R.A. 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
