THE culture of honesty is proven again after Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Roxas Airport employees headed by Airport Manager II Monico Basallote turned over a sling bag containing cash amounting to P200,000, medicines, and important documents owned by a former Capiz Governor Friday, March 10, 2023.

The passenger had already departed to Manila onboard flight 5J 374 when it was found by Cebu Pacific employees Roque Arcenio and Victor Aragon and was endorsed to the CAAP Security and Intelligence Service (CSIS) personnel, who then asked for assistance from PNP-AVSEU.

The sling bag was turned over to the representative of the owner.

On the same day, valuable baggage of passengers had been left behind at the airport and was found by the CSIS personnel in the arrival area.

Through the efforts of the CSIS personnel, they were able to identify the owners and immediately facilitated the return of the said baggage.

Both the sling bag and baggage were turned over to their respective owners on the same day.

Director General Manuel Antonio L. Tamayo meanwhile commended the men and women of CAAP Roxas Airport for their admirable acts of honesty in the line of duty.
