THE Partido Reporma on Wednesday (Feb 9) announced that senatorial bet Herbert Bautista is no longer with the team.

According to the party’s chairman and standard bearer Panfilo “Ping” Lacson. the former QC mayor made a very difficult request to him and his running mate Vicente “Tito” Sotto.

Baustista is a member of the National People’s Coalition (NPC) under the chairmanship of Sotto.

Lacson said Bautista wrote a letter requesting to make him a representative for UniTeam of Bong Bong Marcos and Inday Sara Duterte.

“Si Herbert sumulat sa aming dalawa, nagpapaalam siya kung pwedeng sya ang representative ng UniTeam. Tinanong ko mga staff ko walang makasagot,” the veteran senator said.

“Wala na siya,” he added.

The two veteran senators admitted they find it hard to understand what Bautista was asking.

When asked to comment, Sotto who is NPC chairman, said “Tinanong nya sa akin, ang sagot ko . . . malapit ko na maintindihan” drawing laughter from the media.

During the campaign kick-off, only former PNP chief Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar, Dr. Minguita Padilla, Monsour del Rosario, Manny Pinol and comebacking senator JV Ejercito were on stage while other names in the line-up sent their respective representatives.

Reelectionist Win Gathalian was represented by his brother Rex while Migz Zubiri sent his wife Audrey and Gringo Honasan his sister.

Other reelectionist Senator Dick Gordon only sent a taped speech along with comebacking lady lawmaker Loren Legarda and Francis Chiz Escudero.
