TRANSPORTATION Secretary Jaime Bautista said there is no stopping the Metro Manila Subway Project (MMSP), the country’s first-ever underground mass rail transit.

“With contract funding securely in place, there is no stopping the realization of the country’s Golden Age of Infrastructure under the Build Better More program of our President who promised a more comfortable life for every Filipino,” Secretary Bautista said during the signing of the Metro Manila Subway Project Contract Packages 102 and 103 in Malacañan Palace Thursday, November 3, 2022.

Bautista said the construction of the MMSP is in full swing with the contracts for the civil works of stations and tunnels in Quezon Avenue, East Avenue, Anonas, and Camp Aguinaldo already signed.

The 33.1-kilometer subway will run from Valenzuela City to Paranaque City, ending at Food Terminal Incorporated (FTI) with a connection to Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3.

Once completed, the Metro Manila Subway is expected to boost economic activity in nearby areas apart from creating business opportunities.
