Batangas policemen undergo search, rescue training
Some 30 cops yesterday undergo search and rescue refresher training launched by the Batangas Police Provincial Office under the leadership of Provincial Director Col. Glicerio Cansilao. Among those taught by instructor Lt. Adolfo Andrada were about mass casualty incident system, rescuer’s survival technique, knot tying, high angle rescue, basic life support, collapsed structure search and rescue, boat handling and life-saving techniques. The purpose of the training was to review and further increase the knowledge and skills of PNP personnel in relation to disaster risk reduction, especially in planning, responding, and managing rescue operations in the event of disasters and calamities.
