ONE of the “enemies” of TV (television) show character Cardo (played by Coco Martin) of the “Ang Probinsiyano” TV series was arrested by agents of the Laguna Police Provincial Office (PPO) for a cybercrime offense on Tuesday evening, the Journal Group learned.

Conrado Manuel Ambrosio II aka “Dindo Arroyo”, 61, known for portraying villain roles in action films, was placed under arrest on the strength of a warrant for two counts of violation of Republic Act 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, said Laguna Police Director Colonel Randy Glenn G. Silvio.

The official reported to Police Regional Office 4-A (PRO4A) Director Brig. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. that the accused was arrested in his residence at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday by a tracker team from the Biñan City Police Station.

He was immediately taken to the local police station for booking and documentation pending his posting of a P10,000 bail for each case.

Silvio said that Judge Rosauro Sicat David of the Sta. Rosa City Regional Trial Court Branch 101 issued the warrant for the arrest of the character actor last September 15.

Arroyo last appeared as one of the lead villains going after “Cardo” – from the popular “Ang Probinsiyano” TV series, which ended last August after a seven-year run.

RA 10175 was enacted into law on September 12, 2012, to address legal issues concerning online interactions and the Internet in the country. By Alfred Dalizon and Gil Aman
