Bomb threat rocks Gapan RTC, City hall
GAPAN CITY, Nueva Ecija — The Gapan City Hall of Justice and the City Hall were rocked by a bomb threat here on Monday morning.
Police said the threat was made through a text message received by Atty. Shiela Asunto, a personnel of the Office of the City Clerk, RTC branch 36 at 8:45 a.m.
It said: “Paalisin nyo po lahat ng tao ngayon s gapan RTC at city hall may itinanim po pampasabog dyan at maaring sumabog anytime huwag nyo po ipagwalang bahala.”
Upon receipt of the distress call, city police head Lt. Col. Alexie Desamito immediately ordered her men to supervise the temporary evacuation of all court and city hall employees to safer grounds while police bomb experts secure the area.
It was not immediately known if City Mayor Emerson Pascual, who is gunning for congressman in the province’s fourth district in the May 9 polls was at his office during the incident.
‘All cleared and safe after the panelling operations done by the NE provincial explosives and canine unit,” Corporal Ace John Rayo, case prober told this reporter in a text message Tuesday.
