Zambales gov backs entire UniTeam slate
ZAMBALES Governor Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. formally endorsed recently the candidacies of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) standard-bearer and presidential frontrunner Ferdinand Marcos and his running-mate Inday Sara Duterte as well as their entire senatorial slate.
Ebdane, a long-serving governor, raised the hands of Marcos and the UniTeam’s senatorial candidates who were present during a grand rally held at the Sports Complex in Iba, Zambales to signify his endorsement of their candidacies.
“Mga kababayan, dumating na po ang punto na makikita natin ang ating pinapangarap na maging pangulo ng ating bansang Pilipinas. Nasa kanya na po ang lahat ng hinahanap natin sa isang pangulo,” Ebdane, a former Philippine National Police chief and secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways, declared.
“At hindi natin maitatatwad na siya ang pinakamagaling sa lahat sa kanilang naglalaban. Kilalala niyo po ba siya, sino po siya?” Ebdane said which generated resounding cheers of “BBM” from the tens of thousands of Zambalenos who attended the rally.
“Nandito po ako ngayon na lubos na natutuwa sa pagkakaroon ng pagkakataon na maipakilala po ang ating magiging Pangulo ng bansang Pilipinas, walang iba po kungdi ang ating Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.,” he added.
His statements fanned another long round of yells of approval and loud cheers of “BBM” which rendered Marcos silent for a few minutes, he was only able to start his speech after the crowd’s chanting died down.
“Maraming-maraming salamat sa inyong mainit na pagtanggap at suporta sa UniTeam,” he said when he was able to speak.
Marcos called on the people to continue the movement for unity, which has been started through the people’s support, until the goal of making life better for every Filipino, through collective work, is achieved.
“’Wag po nating kalimutan ang ating sinimulan dito hanggang tayo’y magtagumpay. At ang ating pinag-uusapan na tagumpay ay hindi lamang tagumpay sa darating na halalan sa Mayo,” he said.
“Ang ating pinag-uusapan ay ang tunay na tagumpay na masasabi nating dumating na ang araw na ang sambayanang Pilipino ay nagkaisa muli at lahat ng Pilipino ay sabay-sabay na tumutulong at ginagawa lahat upang pagandahin ang buhay ng ating mga kababayan,” he also said.
