4 new PNP 1-star generals take oath before Eleazar

PHILIPPINE National Police (PNP) chief, General Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar on Wednesday led the oath-taking of four newly-promoted Police Brigadier Generals whom he asked to fully lead their men in following the PNP’s Intensified Cleanliness Program.

The four new 1-star PNP generals are Brig. Gen. Oscar P. Nantes of the PNP Internal Affairs Service; Brig. Gen. Allan C. Nobleza, Deputy Regional Director for Administration of the Police Regional Office 6 in Western Visayas; Brig. Gen. Edwin Buenaventura C. Wagan, Executive Officer of the PNP Directorate for Logistics; and Brig. Gen. Constancio T. Chinayog, Executive Officer of the PNP Directorate for Personnel and Records Management.

The promotion of the four came as the PNP Senior Officers Placement and Promotions Board continued evaluating candidates for a number of key PNP positions set to be vacated soon with the forthcoming retirement of their directors.

Set to retire on September 15 is PNP Director for Operations, Major Gen. Alfred S. Corpus while PNP Director for Logistics, Maj. Gen. Angelito A. Casimiro will retire on October 2.

PNP Director for Intelligence, Maj. Gen. Dennis P. Agustin will also retire on November 5 while PNP Civil Security Group director, Maj. Gen. Ferdinand B. Daway will retire on November 1.

On the other hand, PNP Health Service director, Brig. Gen. Luisito P. Magnaye will retire at the age of 56 on September 9 while Brig. Gen. Daniel C. Mayoni of the PNP Information Communications and Technology Service will retire on October 29.

Police Regional Office 7 director, Brig. Gen. Ronnie S. Montejo will also retire this coming September 29.
