3 ‘Militiang Bayan’ members yield in C. Luzon

CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) Director Brig. Gen. Cesar Pasiwen reported the voluntary surrender of three former members of the “Militiang Bayan” over the weekend.

Pasiwen said personnel of the 304th MC, RMFB3, and other concerned units, facilitated the surrender of “Ka Budy,” a former courier for the armed group, who also turned over one revolver and four live bullets for a .22 pistol.

“Ka Jaime,” a former member of the Militiang Bayan Iskwad Tres, surrendered to Zambales 1st PMFC, Zambales PPO, 2nd PMFC, CIDG PFU-Zambales, PIT-Zambales-RIU3, Subic MPS, together with other units and turned over a 12-gauge improvised shotgun without ammunition and one hand grenade.

The 1st PMFC-NEPPO, with PIU-NEPPO, 145 SAC 14 SAB PNP SAF, 22SAC, SAB SAF, Cabanatuan City Police, and other security units facilitated the voluntary surrender of another member of Militiang Bayan member and turned over a .30 Garand rifle and six live bullets.

“We encourage other members of the CTGs to return to the folds of the law, go back to their communities, and have renewed lives,” Pasiwen said.
