3 held for playing ‘pusoy’ in Gapan City
GAPAN CITY — Police here nabbed three persons for allegedly playing the illegal cards came pusoy last Saturday.
City police head Lt. Col. Alexie A. Desamito identified the arrested suspects as Reynaldo Pangyarihan, the alleged operator, 42, single, Dolores Mariano, 49, both of Bgy. San Nicolas, this city and Edmidio Mendez, 47, of Bgy. Callos, Peňaranda, Nueva Ecija.
Desamito said her men arrested the suspects in Bgy. San Nicolas at 5 p.m. after her office got a tip from a concerned citizen about an ongoing illegal gambling activity in the area.
The suspects did not resist arrest when authorities caught them playing the illegal cards game called pusoy. Seized were P2,360 in bet money, and other illegal gambling paraphernalia.
Charges for violation of P.D 1602 were slapped against the arrested suspects.
