QUEZON City policemen on Saturday arrested two siblings believed to be motorcycle robbers operating in the area.

THE siblings were identified as Sanny Jesalva, 19, and John Michael Jesalva, 18, both residents of Brgy. Old Balara, Quezon City.

A report from the Payatas Bagong Silangan Police Station (PS-13) showed that on the evening of July 7, 2023 a victim, identified as Arman Cabuquit, discovered that his motorcycle was missing while parked in front of No. 73 Lower Atis St., Brgy. Payatas, Quezon City.

A witness identified as Ma. Angelica May Pilapil told the police that the siblings asked her to find a buyer of a motorcycle.

The witness said she discovered that the motorcycle being sold by the suspects was stolen when she verified with Land Transportation Office (LTO).

She found out that the motorcycle was registered under the name of victim Cabuquit.

This prompted her to contact the latter.

Cabuquit immediately reported the incident to the policemen of PS 13, who immediately conducted a follow up operation that led to the arrest of the suspects.

The suspects will be charged for violation of R.A. 10883, or the Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016, before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.

“Walang pinipiling oras ang serbisyo publiko ng mga kapulisan sa QCPD.

Kaya hinihikayat ko ang publiko na kaagad ipagbigay-alam sa kinauukulan ang mga ganitong insidente upang mabigyan ng agarang aksyon,” Police Brig. Gen. Nicolas D Torre III said as he lauded the PS 13 personnel for their quick response in the robbery incident.
