2 nabbed, 5 rescued from Orani sex den

ORION, Bataan — Elements of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) arrested a septuagenarian and a real estate agent and rescued five women from a suspected sex den raided in Bgy. General Lim, this town.

Major Ace Baybayan, Bataan CIDG provincial chief, said during the conduct of Oplan Nena/Paglalansag-Omega/Oplan Olea in compliance with the PNP’s “Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operation” (SACLEO), they arrested Manuel de Leon, 74, of Balut, from the Doule Restobar and KTV Bar located ong Roman Highway in Brgy. General Lim.

Baybayan said De Leon was the alleged owner kf the club which was also a suspected prostitution joint.

Baybayan said a certain Jovito Panadera Macaraig, 40, real estate agent, and a resident of Brgy Upper Bilolo, Orion, Bataan was also arrested after CIDG agents seized from him a caliber 45 with bullets.

Baybayan identified the rescued victims as Veronica Lucas, 32, of Bgy. Luacan, Dinalupihan, Bataan; Emerieen Timblique, 25, resident of Bgy. Bagong Paraiso, Orani, Maria Fe Pablo, 29, resident of Bgy. Bagong Paraiso, Orani; Lovely Patigan, 24, resident of Bgy. Bagong Paraiso, Orani, and Jenny Faustino, 20, resident of Bgy. Bagong Paraiso, Orani.

“On the said time, date and place, joint operating units arrested the above named suspect for violation of health protocols considering that Bataan is under MECQ. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the women inside the KTV bar were engaged in elicit sexual activities for profit,” said Baybayan.

Found in Macaraig’s possession was an Armscor .45 caliber pistol, three magazines, 19 live ammunitions and a bolo.

The suspects were brought to the CIDG Bataan PFU for proper documentation and disposition. They are facing charges for violation of RA 11332, RA 9208 as amended by RA 10364 and RA 10591.
