2 kids perish in fire in Valenzuela
TWO children perished in a fire that razed their home Monday morning in Valenzuela City.
Valenzuela Fire District Director F/Supt. Anamie Legaste said 9-year-old Jhenea Macey Eucacio and her three-year-old sibling Jeana Cassy were reportedly trapped inside their burning house located along Urrutia St. Bgy. Gen. T. De Leon, when the fire broke out at around 8:00 a.m., Monday.
The fire of still undetermined origin started at the two-storey house of the victim’s aunt and quickly spread to the adjacent house of the victims’ mother.
F/Supt. Legaste said the fire reached the 2nd alarm before it was finally put out at around 8:44 in the morning.
Arson investigators are still conducting a follow-up investigation to determine the cause of the fire and the worth of properties damaged.
