2 ex-drug convicts fall in Quezon anti-drug ops
LUCENA CITY – Police operatives on Thursday arrested a woman who was previously convicted and freed over drug charges at Purok Pagkakaisa, Bgy. Cotta, in this city.
Quezon Police director Col. Joel Villanueva identified the suspects Ramil Keleste alias “Mel”, 38, and Louie Ann Valenzuela, alias “Taray”, 28, both residents of the said village.
Villanueva said the suspects were accosted during a buy-bust operation carried out by operatives of Lucena City Police Station under Lt. Col. Reynaldo Reyes.
Reyes in a phone interview said the duo yielded 7 plastic sachets containing 12.17 grams of shabu with a street value of P248,268.00 and P500 marked money.
Reyes said the successful anti-drug operation was conducted based on validated reports from concerned citizens.
The suspects were placed back behind bars and were charged with violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
