World Slasher resumes
ANOTHER 52 entries will be competing in today’s second round of the semi-finals of this year’s second edition of World Slasher Cup 9-Cock Invitational Derby at the historic Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Top fighters competing in today’s 3-cock elimination rounds are four-time WSC champion Rey Briones, sabong idol Patrick Antonio and master breeder Bebot Uy, multi-titled derby champion Frank Berin.
Other top fighters battling it out in the semi-final round are Jowar Bautista/Ericson Gaunsing, Ricky Magtuto/Jeffrey Sy/Aylwyn Sy, Engr. Emerson Sumigad, Carlos Tumpalan, AEJ Brothers, former WSC champ Ronald Barandino/Sioty Barandino/Nelso Dizon, Niño Yee/Raffy Turingan, two-time WSC champ Biboy Enriquez, Jun Topacio, Felix Gatchalian/Pat Gatchalian, Lito Cay, former WSC champ Dicky Lim, and other top names of the sport.
Today’s semi-finals will be feature 78 fights starting at 2 p.m.
The winners of the semi-finals will move on to the four-cock pre-finals on May 27 and grand finals on May 28 wherein a new World Slasher Cup champion will be crowned
This year’s World Slasher Cup has a total of 165 entries.
