Ways to improve EDSA Busway discussed
THE Department of Transportation (DOTr) reiterated its collaborative commitment with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) for the implementation of the EDSA Busway, Active Transportation, and EDSA Greenways projects.
DOTr Undersecretary for Road Transport and Infrastructure Mark Steven Pastor and MMDA Acting Chairman Carlo Dimayuga III discussed on September 20, 2022 ways to improve the operations and infrastructure of the EDSA Busway to better serve the commuters.
The DOTr and MMDA are likewise strongly promoting the use of bicycles as a mode of active transport that is considered relevant and tailor-fitted to the new normal in public transportation.
Another DOTr road initiative is the EDSA Greenways Project, which aims to provide pedestrians with improved and environment-friendly elevated walkways in key areas along EDSA.
