4 human traffic victims rescued from Ecija ‘lomi-cum-sex joint’

POLICE rescued four women, believed victims of human trafficking, during a raid at a supposed prostitution den disguised as a lomi house in Sto. Domingo, Nueva Ecija, on Tuesday night.

The victims were all of legal age and residents of Caloocan City.

Town police head Major Herbert G. Ocumen said the four women were rescued following a raid on a lomi joint where the girls were supposedly employed as waitresses.

“Of legal age po lahat ang mga babae at loming batangas ang front po na ino-offer ng puwesto, in exchange for sexual favors, at P1,500 to P1,600 per customer,” said Ocumen in a text message on Wednesday.

Ocumen said the raided establishment was found to have no permit to operate from the municipal government.

He said joint personnel of the local Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the municipal business permit and licensing office and the local police conducted the raid at 11:45 p.m.

“Pina-operate ko po agad ung lugar kasi po nagpatrol kami kagabi eh tinakasan at hinabol namin yung mga lasing nakamotor at nang maabutan namin nagkwento nagooperate daw beerhouse yung lomihan,” said Ocumen.
