TOP TARGET NABBED IN PASAY, YIELDS P20.4-M WORTH OF SHABU
A JOINT Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and Philippine National Police anti-narcotics operation in Pasay City on Monday afternoon resulted in the arrest of a 52-year-old target shortly after he claimed a parcel from abroad found to be containing three kilograms of suspected shabu worth P20.4 million, PDEA chair Director General Moro Virgilio M. Lazo said yesterday.
Members of the NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group led by PDEA National Capital Region and the Quezon City Police District Station 10 arrested the suspect identified as Mohammad Bagatao alias ‘Joseph Manasseh Acogido’ of Barangay San Antonio, San Francisco del Monte, Q.C., when he claimed the parcel at the Central Mail Exchange Center on Domestic Road in Pasay City at around 5 p.m.
Recovered during the operation were a box loaded with three zip lock pouch containing at least 3,000 grams of suspected shabu valued at P20.4 million and the suspect’s different identification cards.
The suspect was charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 for the importation of dangerous drugs.
