Tiangco tests positive for COVID-19
NAVOTAS City Mayor Toby Tiangco disclosed on Sunday evening that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and asked for an apology to everyone he encountered in the past days.
“Ako po ay humihingi ng paumanhin sa lahat ng aking nakaharap noong nakaraang mga araw at nakikiusap na obserbahan nang mabuti ang inyong kalusugan. Kung meron kayong nararamdamang kakaiba, sumangguni po agad sa doctor,” Tiangco said.
Tiangco explained that he often takes self-antigen tests because of being immuno-compromised due to his severe asthma. and He tested positive Sunday afternoon, prompting him to undergo an RT-PCR test.
The positive result of his RT=PCR test came out Sunday night which he immediately posted on his Facebook account.
Tiangco said he will undergo 14 days of isolation but as much as he can, he will continue to fulfill his duty and his responsibility to monitor and lead the city government’s Covid response.
“Muli, pakiusap ko po sa lahat na maging doble o triple sa pag-iingat, gawin ang health at safety protocols, at magpabakuna o booster,” Tiangco said.
