THE city government of Taguig ordered the closure of three vape shops for violating the city’s Comprehensive Smoke-Free Ordinance.

The Taguig Business Permits and Licensing Office led the closures of vape shops located in Barangays Sta. Ana, Hagonoy, and Lower Bicutan that violated the perimeter requirement for selling, advertising, and promoting vape products.

Each one was found within 100 meters of schools, public playgrounds, health facilities, and hospitals.

Additionally, the establishments were operating without valid business permits issued by the local government.

Mayor Lani Cayetano urged all business owners, particularly vape shop operators, to submit themselves for inspection to the Smoke Free Task Force before they commence operations.

This will help ensure compliance with city regulations, promoting a safe and healthy community which is a key part of Mayor Cayetano’s commitment to maintaining a transformative, lively, and caring environment for all.
