SM Foundation brings medical missions to Batangas
LEMERY, Batangas – Two medical and dental missions were conducted by the SM Foundation in Batangas, boosting the number of beneficiaries to the SM groups’ CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) program for health and wellness.
At the SM Center Lemery, 396 patients from nearby barangays availed of 607 medical and dental services. Of this number, 325 sought medical consultations from volunteer doctors. The patients were given prescriptions which were readily available at the venue for free. Vitamins were also given.
Those who needed medical attention in specialized hospitals were assisted on where and how they can avail of such services. Seventy-one availed of dental services, while the rest underwent an X-ray (39), ECG (53), RBS (46), cholesterol (25), and uric acid test (48).
In Agoncillo, a lakeshore municipality bounded on the west by Lemery, the medical and dental mission dispensed a total of 592 services.
There were 414 beneficiaries: medical (328), dental (90), X-ray (35), ECG (47), RBS (35), cholesterol (20), and uric acid test (37).
