Sikyu nabbed for robbing convenience store in Cabuyao
KAMPO HENERAL PACIANO RIZAL – A security guard was arrested who robbed a convenience store in Cabuyao City, Laguna, early Monday morning.
Cabuyao Police Chief P/Lt. Col. Jack Angog said the suspect was a resident of Guinyangan, Quezon.
Based on the initial report, the sikyu pretended to be a “customer” buying instant cup noodles inside a 7-Eleven convenience store at about 6:30 a.m.
The duty crew of the convenience store said that minutes later, the suspect pointed a knife at him, ordered him to open the cash register machine, and took the cash amounting to P3,050.
After the incident, the victim shouted for help from a BPSO (Barangay Public Safety Officer) and followed the suspect, who fled riding a passenger jeep to Calamba City, Laguna.
“Matapos tutukan ng suspect ang kahero saka niya ito pinadapa saka nilimas ang pera,” according to probers.
The suspect is now in the custody of Cabuyao Police, while the case will be filed before the city prosecutor’s office.
