CABANATUAN CITY – The Nueva Ecija police has stepped up its “Oplan Manhunt Charlie” operations which resulted in the separate arrests on Monday of a security guard allegedly wanted for the murder of a San Juan City policeman in 2016 and an alleged member of a robbery-hold-up gang operating in the province.

In General Tinio, town police head Captain Ronan James Eblahan said the arrested security guard suspect has residences at Bgy. San Pedro, General Tinio and Scorpion St., Palar Village, Bgy. Southside, Makati City.

His arrest came almost six years after the alleged murder incident involving a policeman in 2016, said Eblahan.

Joint operatives from the local police, the San Juan City Eastern Police District, the NEPPO, and the 1st PMFC swooped down on the suspect’s lair at Bgy. Poblacion Central, resulting in his arrest at 5:00 p.m. Monday.

Eblahan said the suspect’s arrest was based on the strength of an arrest warrant for murder without bail recommended issued on May 29, 2017, by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge Caesar C. Buenagua of the Pasig City Branch 160.

“Sa San Juan, Manila po nag-originate ang kaso ng suspect, doon po siya nasangkot sa pagpatay sa isang pulis,” Eblahan told Journal Group in his text message.

He said the San Juan City Police had already taken custody of the arrested suspect.

Meanwhile, in Talavera, police head Lt. Col. Jackyll Bilibli said they arrested a robbery suspect from Bgy. Caputican, this town.

He is ranked no. 5 on the town’s most wanted persons’ list and as no. 10 on the province’s most wanted.

Bilibli said the suspect, who is tagged as a member of the Dela Cruz crime group, was collared by an arrest warrant for robbery with violence against or intimidation of a person issued on December 14, 2021, by Judge Eleonor Teodora Marbas-Vizcarra of the Baloc, Sto. Domingo RTC Br. 89 with recommended bail set at P100,000 for his temporary liberty.
