Ryza, Danita just thankful for having new project
RYZA Cenon and Danita Paner are the two leading ladies of Jerald Napoles in his solo movie, “Instant Daddy”. Ryza plays Kate, Jerald’s neighbor who helps him with his love child Mira, played by Althea Ruedas, while Danita is Julie, Jerald’s girlfriend who left him their daughter so she can go abroad.
It is the first time that Ryza is paired with Jerald Napoles and also her first time with their director, Cris Aquino. So how is it?
“Sobrang saya namin sa set,” she says. “Lahat, magaang katrabaho. Si Jerald, never a dull moment kapag kasama mo kasi laging nagpapatawa sa set kaya you won’t be bored. Si Direk Cris naman, napakabilis mag-shoot. Gusto niya, take one lang ang lahat ng scenes para hindi na inuulit, so maaga kami lagi nakakatapos ng shooting.”
Ryza is glad that Viva continues to give her good projects.
“Instant Daddy” is her third movie this year after “Kunwari Mahal Kita” with Joseph Marco and “Sa Muli” with Xian Lim. She’s also in the current mini-series on Viva One, “Kung Hindi Lang Tayo Sumuko.”
“I’m so thankful sa patuloy na pagtitiwala sa akin ng Viva,” she says. “Dahil sa suporta nila, natapos na ang dream home ko where my family and I will build beautiful memories together.”
Ryza is happy in her relationship with her partner, Miguel Cruz. They have a son, Night, who is turning three years old this coming October 31. As for Danita, she considers “Instant Daddy” her comeback project. Her last project was “Paano ang Pasko” in 2020 for TV5.
“I stopped during the pandemic kasi bawal lumabas, di ba?” she says. “But siempre, I really missed acting and I’m glad that Viva now has now given me the chance to face the cameras again.”
Isn’t she worried her role as Jerald’s girlfriend, who left him their baby daughter so she can go abroad then returns later to get the girl back from him, will appear as a contravida in the eyes of the viewers?
“Okay naman, it’s a good role. Makikita rin naman ng audience ang pinagdaraaanan ko as the biological mother of Mira, played by Althea Ruedas who’s a very good child actress. And I’m happy I get to work with Jerald and Direk Cris as they’re both very helpful. They’re aware na matagal akong nabakante so hindi nila ako pinabayaan sa mga eksena ko, kaya thank you to them.”
