Remulla pinaiimbestigahan mga pahayag ni Alvarez
PINAIIMBESTIGAHAN ni Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla si dating Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez.
Ito ay matapos manawagan si Alvarez sa mga tauhan ng Armed Forces of the Philippines na iurong na ang suporta kay Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. para hindi na lumala ang tensyon sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at China dahil sa usapin sa West Philippine Sea (WPS).
Ginawa ni Alvarez ang panawagan sa isang rally sa Tagum City noong Abril 14..
Nais malaman ni Remulla kung pasok sa sedition, inciting sedition o maging rebellion ang mga pahayag ni Alvarez.
“I have ordered an investigation on the statements of Alvarez to determine whether it has risen to the level of sedition, inciting to sedition or even rebellion,” pahayag ni Remulla.
Ayon kay Remulla, bilang isang mambabatas, dapat na maging maingat si Alvarez sa mga binibitawang salita.
“As a former lawmaker myself, I would like to remind Congressman Alvarez to act in accordance to the highest standards of ethics, morality and nationalism, and avoid remarks unbecoming of a member of the House of Representatives,” pahayag ni Remulla.
