Remulla leads Cavite prov’l council inaugural session

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite. – Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Cavite held its inaugural session presided by the newly-elected Vice Governor Athena Bryana Tolentino on July 11, 2022 at the Session Hall of the Legislative Building in Capitol Ground here.

Governor Juanito Victor ‘Jonvic’ Remulla Jr spoke before the new members of the provincial council coming from eight legislative districts.

Upon determination of quorum and acknowledgement of all the Board Members present by SP Secretary Michelle Alcid, the election of presiding officer Pro Tempore and committee chairmanship followed.

Third District Board Member Shernan Jaro of the City of Imus was nominated and unanimously approved as the presiding officer Pro Tempore.

Afterwards, a resolution authorizing Remulla and the finance committee to sign the checks of the provincial government was approved.

In his message, Remulla focused on the new strategies that the provincial government will embark on to address climate change. He encouraged the new set of legislators to work together, take their work and the fidelity of their oath seriously.

The new set of Board members are Davey Chua and Romel Enriquez of District 1; Edwin Malvar and Ram Revilla of 2nd District; Shernan Jaro and Arnel Cantimbuhan of 3rd District; Jun dela Cuesta and Nickol Austria of 4th District, Aidel Belamide and Marcus Amutan of 5th District, Kerby Salazar and Morit Sison of 6th District, Munding del Rosario and Ping Remulla of 7th District, Rainier Ambion and Irene Bencito of 8th District and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Provincial Federation President Neil Magallanes, Paolo Crisostomo of ABC Provincial Federation and Cavite Councilors League President AJ Humarang.

DILG-Cavite Provincial Director Lionel Dalope, heads of the different department and units of the Provincial Government and other guests.
