6 dead, 2 hurt in collapse of cemented fence in Tagaytay
TAGAYTAY CITY, Cavite – At six persons were declared dead on arrival at the Tagaytay Medical Center while two survived after a concrete fence collapsed at about 6:30 p.m. July 11, 2022 in Brgy. Kaybagal Central, Tagaytay City.
Officer-on-case Police Staff Sergeant Archie P. Paclibar of the Tagaytay City PNP identified those buried alive as Ronilo Casaljay , 52, foreman; Nino Villasquez; Daniel Nesperos; William Ocong; Ramer Gamba and Jerimy Doña.
Marco Paulo Abarientos, 33, project engineer and Anthony Villasquez, 26, survived the incident.
Initial investigation showed the victims were resting in the barracks when the concrete fence of the Hortaleza Farm collapsed due to heavy rainfall and fell on them.
Responding members of the BFP Tagaytay, Tagaytay CDRRMO and Amadeo MDRRMO first recovered Nino Villasquez and Casaljay to no avail.
