Quezon cops seize P.8M shabu, collar 4 suspects
LUCENA CITY— Police operatives on Friday arrested four drug suspects following the seizure of some P849,000 worth of shabu in two separate places, police reported yesterday.
Quezon police director, Col. Joel Villanueva identified the arrested suspects as Trisha Gentiles, 38, of Brgy. Mambugan, Antipolo City, Jamie Escuadra, 60, of Brgy. Mayamot, Antipolo City, Michelle Tañola, 47, and Edgardo Salvadora, 50, both of Brgy. Binulasan, Infanta, Quezon.
Villanueva said Candelaria police operatives under Lt. Col. Tyrone Valenzona caught red- handed Gentiles and Escuadra with shabu during a drug buy bust conducted along Candelaria By-pass Road at Brgy. Bukal Sur in Candelaria town.
Nine transparent plastic sachets containing 21.66 grams of shabu worth P441,864.00 and marked money were seized from the duo.
While Tañola and Salvadora yielded nine transparent sachets containing 20 grams of shabu worth P408,000.00 after being collared by operatives of Infanta police station under Major Reden Romasanta during the operation at Brgy. Binulasan in Infanta town.
Villanueva in an statement vowed to keep active the relentless anti- criminality campaign of the Quezon Police Provincial Office.
“We will never get tired of doing our job to maintain peace and order in 39 towns and two cities of the province,” said Villanueva.
