PRO 3 cops nab 488 suspects in various crimes
CAMP Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga –Nearly 500 individuals were arrested in Central Luzon in the 4-day relentless police operations in this region.
PRO 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. said the strings of operations were in adherence to the marching order of PNP Chief Gen. Benjamin Acorda Jr. to intensify, reinvigorate and focus on the anti-crime and insurgency efforts of the PNP as part of his 5-focused agenda.
The Central Luzon top cop reported that from July 19 to 22, PRO 3 policemen arrested a total of 488 individuals, 28 of them most wanted.
One hundred forty-six of these arrested have standing warrants of arrests for various crimes, 184 were held for illegal drugs, 127 were apprehended for illegal gambling and three were listed as members of criminal gangs.
The police also confiscated a total of 724.97 grams of shabu and 54.40 grams of dried marijuana leaves worth P4,636,205.20.
A total of P51,389 cash bets and 32 assorted loose firearms were also recovered. Ninety-four firearms were turned over to PRO3 for safe keeping.
Hidalgo noted that these anti-crime accomplishments were results of the strong support from the local chief executives.
