DIVING professionals, traders and enthusiasts enjoyed a marvelous and inviting peek of the Philippines’ top dive sites at the Diving Equipment and Marketing Association (DEMA) Show 2023 held Nov. 14-17, 2023 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, Louisiana.

The Philippine delegation, composed of DOT and attached agencies’ officials, TPB Philippines and PDOT USA representatives, 16 Philippine-based dive companies, and an airline company, proudly bannered the ‘Love the Philippines’ campaign as they presented to global participants and participants endless reasons why diving in the country is a bucket-list and memorable experience.

Thousands of industry professionals from around the world gather at the largest trade-only event annually for companies doing business in the scuba diving, ocean water sports, and adventure/dive travel industries to discover new products, get the latest technical training, reconnect as an industry and build new partnerships.

DEMA is a non-profit trade association for the recreational diving and snorkeling industries whose mission is to bring business and grow the diving industry worldwide.

For over 40 years, DEMA has produced the DEMA Show, the premier, unrivaled diving and watersports event strictly for credentialed dive professionals.

Philippine participation objectives are to connect with thousands of diving, travel and action watersports professionals who direct, influence and recommend purchases for their organizations;
support the Philippine dive operators in maximizing their aggressive push in selling their dive resorts, services and products to the diving community in the U.S. and educate the diving community in the U.S. about recent developments in the Philippine dive industry through the conduct of a speaking/networking session at the Philippine booth.

The Philippine booth at the DEMA Show officially highlighted the country’s best dive sites in Batangas, Cebu, Bohol, and Palawan
and featured activities such as the sardine run, reef wall snorkeling, dolphin watching, and wreck diving, among others.

On top of the business meetings and networking sessions, the Philippine booth also catered to extensive educational opportunities through the conduct of country presentations and information dissemination about the recent developments in the Philippine dive industry.
