PDEG agents arrest drug suspect in Bacolod
AGENTS of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group have arrested a top drug personality in Western Visayas during a buy-bust in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental after he sold more than P500,000 worth of shabu to an undercover officer, PDEG director Colonel Dionisio B. Bartolome said on Sunday.
The official identified the suspect as Leo Jamelo, 28, a resident of Purok Tahong in Brgy. 2, Bacolod City.
Bartolome said the suspect was apprehended in a buy-bust conducted by undercover officers from the PDEG Regional Office 6 and the police shortly before noon last Monday.
Recovered during the sting were several heat-sealed plastic packets containing an estimated 81 grams of shabu valued at P550,800.
