PCG handa na rin sa inagurasyon ni PBBM
TINIYAK ng pamunuan ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) na handa na ito at magtatalaga na rin sila ng mga tauhan at assets sa araw ng panunumpa ni President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. (PBBM) sa National Museum sa Lungsod ng Maynila sa darating na Hunyo 30.
Ayon kay PCG Commandant CG Admiral Artemio M. Abu, isinama ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) ang PCG para suportahan ang pagpapatupad ng mga hakbang “upang itaguyod ang kaligtasan at seguridad ng publiko” sa unang araw ng administrasyong Marcos.
“We will deploy assets and personnel to augment the Task Group Maritime Security – NCR [National Capital Region]-Central Luzon that is in charge of ensuring maritime security and maritime safety during the inauguration of the newly-elected Chief Executive of the Philippines,” ani CG Admiral Abu.
“We are now finalizing guidelines and protocols to minimize, if not prevent, maritime incidents that may arise due to threat groups that intend to disrupt the inauguration ceremony or endanger the lives of the general public,” dagdag pa ni CG Admiral Abu.
Ang Coast Guard Fleet ay magpapadala ng mga rigid hull inflatable boat, aluminum boat, at personal na sasakyang pantubig upang magbigay ng pinaigting na maritime patrol sa paligid ng tubig sa Manila Bay at Pasig River.
Mahigit 100 PCG security personnel din ang ipapakalat sa iba’t-ibang estratehikong lugar para magpatupad ng mahigpit na security measures sa paligid ng inauguration venue.
Higit pa rito, dadagdagan din ng ilang PCG land vehicle ang mga road patrol para makontrol ang daloy ng trapiko sa Maynila.
Upang itaguyod ang kalusugan at kaligtasan ng publiko, ang Coast Guard Medical Service ay bubuo din ng isang medical team na nilagyan ng isang Coast Guard ambulance para magbigay ng first aid at iba pang agarang tulong medikal sa pangkalahatang publiko.
“Rest assured that the PCG will work side by side with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), and other concerned government agencies to realize a safe, secure, and peaceful assumption of the 17th President of the Republic of the Philippines,” pagtatapos ng PCG Commandant.
