A party-list lawmaker is challenging the next administration to reverse the Oil Deregulation Law, as one way to regulate the prices of petroleum products.

Gabriela party-list Rep. Arlene Brosas has expressed concern over the continuous increase in the prices of gasoline, diesel and other fuel products.

The solon is blaming the said law for the automatic adjustment of prices everytime there is tension in other countries particularly those producing oil.

The Gabriela Party-list also reiterated its call to at least suspend the excise tax on fuel products under the TRAIN Law, as the oil price hike barrage is already causing spikes on the prices of food and other basic necessities.
