‘Nene’ yields P680K shabu in Caloocan
A 54-YEAR-OLD woman yielded P680,000 worth of illegal drugs during a buy-bust operation Thursday before dawn in Caloocan City.
Caloocan Police chief P/Col. Ruben Lacuesta said the suspect with the alias “Nene” was nabbed by elements of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) led by P/Maj. Dennis Odtuhan at around 2:00 a.m. in front of her house in Barangay 188, Tala, after she sold a medium-sized plastic sachet of shabu to a police poseur buyer worth P40,000.
Police recovered from her possession more or less 100 grams of shabu and the marked money consisting of one genuine P1,000 bill and 39 pieces of P1,000 boodle money.
National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director P/BGen. Jonnel Estomo lauded the continued efforts of Caloocan City Police for their relentless campaign against illegal drugs that led to the arrest of a “notorious” drug pusher.
The suspect was presented for inquest proceedings before the Caloocan City Prosecutor’s Office on charges of selling and possession of illegal drugs under Article II of RA (Republic Act) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
