Mga telco inatasan ng NTC vs text scams!
DAHIL sa pagdami ng mga nabibiktima ng “personalized” fake job, lucky winner, bonus cash at iba pang kahalintulad na money scams hanggang ngayong buwan ng September sa pamamagitan ng mga telecommunication networks ay nag-atas ang NTC sa mga Telcos na bigyang babala sng publiko hinggil dito.

ITO PO AY ISANG SCAM.”
“You are also directed to accelerate the process of blocking SIM cards that are being utilized to perpetrate these fraudulent activities and to further expand the messaging
reach of your respective public information campaigns to the public regarding these new variants of text scams,” bahagi ng memo na inilbas ng NTC.
Bunsod nito, ang mga Telcos ay inaatasang magsumite ng kanilang written report of compliance sa Office of the Commissioner bago sumapit o sa petsa ng September 19, 2022 sa pamamagitan ng email [email protected].
