THE Embassy of Japan in the Philippines proudly introduces the Meet the MEXT Scholars and JET Participants Online Series, a special web series showcasing the people-to-people initiatives of Japan to the Philippines. The series will highlight the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program and the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship, through the stories of current participants and alumni.

The JET Program gives the participants an opportunity to serve as a staff in local authorities or schools in Japan. On the other hand, the MEXT Scholarship offers various scholarship programs, catering to different categories, to study in Japan. Some of these categories include scholarships on Teacher Training, Japanese Studies, and Research. Both programs are open to Filipinos interested in working or studying in Japan.

Learn more about these programs through the stories of the participants and alumni and take note of their tips to pass the application as well. Watch and be inspired by their fun, charming, and informative sharing about the application process, their experience, and more. Discover how their participation to these programs has changed their lives, and possibly yours as well.

The series will premiere on November 20 (Saturday) at 10:00 am, on the official Facebook page of the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines. Subsequently, the special campaign will run on select Saturdays.

The series is part of the year-long celebration of the Embassy of Japan for the 65thAnniversary of the Normalization of Japan-Philippine Relations. Several campaigns to highlight the multiple facetted brotherhood of Japan and the Philippines were launched throughout 2021. (65 Years of Friendship)

Recently, the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines opened applications for the 2022 JET Programme and the Young Leader’s Program (YLP) of the Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) Scholarship. Applications are still accepted and interested applicants can visit the website for more details.
